Vide Noir is the third studio album and major-label debut from the LA based rock band Lord Huron. The band is known for crafting concept albums with complex storytelling and motifs that return throughout the album. Vide Noir specifically showcases songwriting and recording techniques that dominated the 1950’s and 60’s.

I created a spec teaser campaign of posters for the album using lyrics from the title track, color palette from the album cover, and the primary recurring motif as the call to action: “follow the emerald star.” The geometric style of the posters are heavily inspired by 1960’s poster design to accompany the sound of the record and are meant to be posted in succession leading up to the album’s release.
