Crown Meadows Winery

Software: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

The Crown Meadows Winery project is a key component to the success of DCTC’s design degree program. It takes the fictional winery from Washington state and requires that students build a cohesive brand identity from start to finish. Students build briefs based on a short interview from the client and use that to create a new logo, marketing materials, and four bottle labels for the different blends offered by the winery.

The winery wanted to appeal to younger clientele that cared about quality and supporting local business (as they also ran a hotel and gift shop on the property). My solution for the new logo was a clean, modern wordmark with a secondary icon that could be used for marketing materials and wayfinding signs on the property.

The labels feature visual elements that inform the viewer of the style of wine and entice them to pick up the bottle to learn more. The typography and layout are consistent across each bottle to increase recognition as the viewer moves from aisle to aisle.
