The Howlies are an indie rock band from St Paul that have decided to rebrand from their old name, Rex & the Howlies. They are currently recording new music and plan to re-release their second album Always with the new name alongside their next project. With the new name, the band is looking to add multiple merchandise options including t-shirts, posters, and a new album cover for the re-release of Always.

The band wanted three t-shirts, three posters, and two album covers. They did not want a primary logo; they preferred to have their wordmark fit the overall style of the different pieces. Their music is self-described as simple and rough around the edges, so texture and variation were a primary focus across each design.
